How TailTrack uses cookies, localStorage and similar technologies, and how visitors can manage optional preferences.

Cookie Preferences

Use this control to review or change optional cookie preferences on this device.

What Cookies Are

This Cookies Policy explains how TailTrack uses cookies and similar technologies, including localStorage and other browser storage. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website or app. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, scripts, SDKs and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device.

We use the term "cookies" in this policy to cover cookies and similar technologies unless we say otherwise.

How TailTrack Uses Cookies

TailTrack uses cookies for:

  • necessary purposes, such as login, security, request protection, authentication and remembering cookie choices;
  • functional preferences, such as remembering interface choices;
  • analytics, where you consent, to understand how TailTrack is used and improve the service;
  • marketing, only if introduced in future and only after appropriate notice and consent.

Necessary Cookies

Necessary cookies support login, authentication, request protection, session security, cookie choices and other essential platform functions.

You can block necessary cookies in your browser, but TailTrack may not work properly if you do.

Functional Preference Cookies

Functional preference cookies remember choices such as dashboard sidebar state and theme preference.

These are used only to make the interface work in the way you choose. You can change or reset preferences through the product interface or browser settings.

Analytics Cookies And Tools

We use browser analytics cookies and storage only where you consent through our cookie banner or Cookie Preferences. Cookie preferences do not turn off necessary service, security or operational logs.

Analytics may help us understand which pages and features are used, where users get stuck, onboarding progress, product performance, errors, reliability issues and whether improvements are working.

We do not use analytics cookies to sell pet-owner data or profile pet owners for advertising.

Analytics tools must be configured to avoid collecting sensitive free-text information, addresses, health details, vet details, passwords, tokens, payment details, care notes or prohibited confidential access, security or emergency details wherever possible.

Session Recording

Session recording helps us understand how people move through TailTrack, where they get stuck and which parts of the product need to be clearer or more reliable.

We only use session recording after analytics consent and only for product reliability, support and improvement. Sensitive content is masked or blocked before recordings are stored.

  • analytics-consent gated;
  • clearly disclosed;
  • masked by default;
  • sensitive booking, dashboard, payment and Pet Passport fields are masked or blocked while general interface text may remain visible;
  • configured to scrub passwords, payment details, URL query strings and sensitive free text;
  • restricted to authorised staff;
  • retained for 30 days.

Marketing Cookies

TailTrack does not currently use marketing cookies.

If we introduce marketing cookies, pixels or advertising technologies in future, we will update this policy and request consent before using them where required.

Managing Preferences

You can change cookie choices at any time using Cookie Preferences. You can also control cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. The exact controls vary depending on the browser and device you use.

If you delete cookies or browser storage, we may ask you to choose preferences again.
